There are three monthly plans (Solo, Studio and Studio AI) starting from €65/month (VAT excluded), each with a number of patients included and extra patients billed per patient beyond that.

Yes. Billing is monthly with no contractual commitment, so you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time.

The Studio and Studio AI plans include Italian electronic invoicing through the SDI system and the Health Card System, limited to nutritionists based in Italy. Nutritionists outside Italy can always export each invoice as a PDF.

No. The mobile app is free for patients: they follow their plan, log meals and track their progress at no cost. Only the nutritionist subscribes. If they wish, patients can buy optional premium features in the app on their own initiative, such as meal recognition from photos. When the nutritionist is on the Studio AI plan, these features are already included for their patients.

Every plan PappAI generates is hydrated ingredient by ingredient against real nutritional databases: the national food composition tables, such as CREA for Italy, alongside USDA FoodData Central. It is the same standard we used to publicly verify our research on general-purpose AI assistants. The calorie total and the macronutrients you see are a sum you can check down to the single database entry, not an estimate from language.

Food exclusions (allergies, religious constraints, dietary restrictions) are a deterministic filter applied to every generated plan. The system doesn't reinterpret them case by case: once set, they remain valid for the entire plan.

No. Every plan generated by artificial intelligence is created with "proposed" status: the nutritionist reviews and confirms it before it reaches the patient. AI supports clinical work, it does not replace it.

A generic conversational assistant doesn't have access to a real nutritional database: it estimates nutritional values from the language used to describe a food, rather than calculating them. In our internal review of 26 cases, the gap between declared and actual calories exceeded 17% on some meals with less common ingredients, without the model ever flagging it. A second limit we observed concerns safety constraints (allergies, religious exclusions): not every generalist assistant treats them as absolute rules. The national food composition tables: CREA for Italy, CIQUAL for France, BLS for Germany, CoFID for the United Kingdom, BEDCA for Spain, NEVO for the Netherlands, naehrwertdaten.ch for Switzerland, Frida for Denmark, Matvaretabellen for Norway, Fineli for Finland and Livsmedelsverket for Sweden. For items they do not cover, USDA FoodData Central is added and, for packaged products, Open Food Facts. Every food keeps a reference to its original source. Reference requirements follow the Italian LARN in force.
